<description>Título: Percepções sobre alimentos orgânicos de alunos de duas escolas de Corumbá/MS
Abstract: The approach to food security and the inclusion of organic foods in the population's diet are fundamental issues for health and should be addressed in basic education. The research starts from the question of how effective schools are in addressing issues related to agroecology and healthy eating. Thus, the objective of this study is to describe the perceptions of students at two schools located in Corumbá, Mato Grosso do Sul, on the Brazil-Bolivia border, regarding agroecology and organic foods. This is a quantitative and descriptive study, using bibliographic research techniques and a questionnaire with structured questions administered to students in grades 6 through 8. A total of 147 students were interviewed, 60 from one school and 87 from another. The results indicated that, although most students claim to know what organic foods are, they are unable to associate them with agroecology, demonstrating conceptual confusion (such as mixing organic with hydroponics) and a failure to distinguish agroecological production from conventional agriculture.

<title>USO DO SISTEMA AGROECOLÓGICO COMO QUEBRA DE PARADIGMAS DA PRODUÇÃO CONVENCIONAL NO PROJETO DE ASSENTAMENTO 72 EM LADÁRIO - MS</title>

<description>Título: USO DO SISTEMA AGROECOLÓGICO COMO QUEBRA DE PARADIGMAS DA PRODUÇÃO CONVENCIONAL NO PROJETO DE ASSENTAMENTO 72 EM LADÁRIO - MS
Abstract: The present study aims to analyze the use of the agroecological system as a strategy for a paradigmatic shift in relation to the conventional production model in the Projeto de Assentamento 72 (PA 72), located in the municipality of Ladário, Mato Grosso do Sul. The research is based on the socioenvironmental impacts generated by conventional agriculture, characterized by the intensive use of chemical inputs, soil degradation, and the reduction of biodiversity, especially in ecologically sensitive areas such as the Pantanal. It also considers the growing relevance of agroecology and organic production as alternatives capable of promoting environmental sustainability, peasant autonomy, and the resilience of agroecosystems. The general objective was to analyze the adoption of the agroecological system as a means of overcoming conventional productive paradigms. The specific objectives were to characterize the agroecological practices developed by the settlement’s farmers, identify the benefits and limitations of the agroecological transition, and propose strategies that strengthen the adoption of sustainable practices. Methodologically, a qualitative approach was adopted, including a case study, bibliographic research, technical field visits, and the application of tools from Participatory Rural Appraisal, including a transversal walk. The environmental, climatic, and edaphic analysis was based on Embrapa documents and direct field observations, allowing for an understanding of the productive dynamics and key factors influencing the conversion process. The results indicate significant improvements resulting from the adoption of the agroecological system, such as recovery of soil fertility, increased organic matter, productive diversification, and reduced environmental contamination. Strengthening of social organization, valuing of traditional knowledge, and expansion of collective marketing mechanisms—especially through the Grupo Bem-Estar—were also observed. Among the challenges, the study highlights the initial decrease in productivity, the greater demand for labor, and the insufficient availability of specialized technical assistance. It is concluded that the agroecological system represents a viable and strategic alternative for sustainable rural development in PA 72, aligning with the guidelines of the Sustainable Development Goals and establishing itself as a promising model when compared to the conventional system.

<description>Título: Passagens de Fronteira na Cidade Gêmea de Ponta Porã (BR) e Pedro Juan Caballero (PY)
Abstract: The objective of this study is to analyze the border crossings between Ponta Porã (BR) and Pedro Juan Caballero (PY). A methodological approach was used that involved the technique of landscape observation along the international line between the urban areas of these cities. Five types of border crossing landscapes were observed: rural, urban with low building density, rural with low building density, dense urban, and periurban or rurban. The results indicated that the border is highly permeable, with significant integration and almost no restrictions on the flow of people between Brazil and Paraguay. The analysis revealed that, despite the existence of some control points, the transit of people between countries occurs with high frequency and freedom, reflecting a reality of intense mobility and few physical or administrative limitations.
