      <title>CONTRASTES E DESAFIOS NOS CENTROS DE EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL (CEAs) EM CAMPO GRANDE-MS</title>

      <description>Título: CONTRASTES E DESAFIOS NOS CENTROS DE EDUCAÇÃO AMBIENTAL (CEAs) EM CAMPO GRANDE-MS
Abstract: This study analyzes the structural, administrative, and communication conditions of the&#xD;
Environmental Education Centers (CEAs) in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul —&#xD;
Anhanduí, Polonês, and Imbirussu — and examines how these conditions influence the&#xD;
development of educational activities offered to the local population. This qualitative and&#xD;
exploratory research was conducted through field visits, direct observation, conversations&#xD;
with managers and staff, and document analysis. The results reveal significant contrasts&#xD;
among the three centers. The Anhanduí CEA faces severe structural issues, including&#xD;
vandalism, lack of maintenance, and a reduced staff; the Polonês CEA, despite its central&#xD;
location, deals with physical limitations and sedimentation problems in the Sóter stream; and&#xD;
the Imbirussu CEA stands out for having the best infrastructure and the greatest diversity of&#xD;
activities, although it also faces communication challenges and delayed maintenance. Across&#xD;
all centers, the lack of regular public investment, outdated institutional communication&#xD;
channels, and recent administrative restructuring hinder the continuity and quality of&#xD;
environmental education initiatives. Nevertheless, the commitment and dedication of the&#xD;
professionals working in these centers remain essential for sustaining educational activities.&#xD;
The study concludes that CEAs hold great educational potential but require stronger&#xD;
institutional support to ensure consistent, high-quality practices aligned with local&#xD;
environmental education policies.&#xD;

      <title>ANÁLISE DAS PRAÇAS PÚBLICAS EM UM BAIRRO PERIFÉRICO NA CIDADE DE CAMPO GRANDE- MS</title>
      <link>https://repositorio.ufms.br/handle/123456789/14035</link>
      <description>Título: ANÁLISE DAS PRAÇAS PÚBLICAS EM UM BAIRRO PERIFÉRICO NA CIDADE DE CAMPO GRANDE- MS
Abstract: In recent years, the demand for open spaces in densely populated areas has intensified, as these&#xD;
represent an improvement in quality of life and increased property values. In this sense, the role&#xD;
of public squares stands out, providing numerous benefits, both for environmental quality and&#xD;
ecosystem balance, and for the health and well-being of the surrounding population,&#xD;
contributing to sustainable development. This work addresses the Nova Campo Grande&#xD;
neighborhood, a territorial area located in the northwestern portion of the city of Campo Grande&#xD;
- MS. Given the considerable territorial extension of the neighborhood and its numerous urban&#xD;
voids, some of which are green areas, this study proposes mapping the neighborhood's squares,&#xD;
conducting a structural analysis, and assessing their current uses. To this end, a bibliographic&#xD;
and cadastral survey on the subject was carried out, followed by mapping and photographic&#xD;
documentation of the areas, identifying their uses and analyzing perceptions of their current&#xD;
uses. The results indicate that most of the identified squares have purposes that diverge from&#xD;
those of a typical square, such as leisure, recreation, well-being, exercise, among others.&#xD;
Therefore, better planning of these spaces is necessary, considering their regular maintenance.

      <title>Diagnótico da Coleta Seletiva na Vila Ipiranga, em Campo Grande-MS</title>
      <link>https://repositorio.ufms.br/handle/123456789/14031</link>
      <description>Título: Diagnótico da Coleta Seletiva na Vila Ipiranga, em Campo Grande-MS
Abstract: The main objective of this work is to present a diagnosis of the selective collection of recyclable solid waste in Vila Ipiranga, a subdivision of the Piratininga neighborhood, in the city of Campo Grande-MS. To achieve this objective, exploratory research was carried out, that is, a case study that aims to expand knowledge about the topic and the spatial scope adopted. The approach was qualitative and quantitative, covering: bibliographic and documentary research; direct research with residents selected in simple casual sampling, with data collection through an online questionnaire via Google Forms; field observations; and systematization and analysis of data. The study enabled a reflection on the topic, the historical review of the implementation of the selective collection program in the area and the characterization of its current operation, with the perception of how residents participate in the program and, also, the identification of some resulting environmental impacts.Finally, it is concluded that the management of urban solid waste (MSW) is a complex process, which involves the entire society and which demands important changes to meet the principles established in the National Solid Waste Policy. This includes the recognition of reusable and recyclable solid waste as an economic good with social value, a generator of work and income and a promoter of citizenship, which is only possible with selective collection programs. In Vila Ipiranga, the majority of residents interviewed need to expand their knowledge on the topic, so that they can participate in the selective collection program more efficiently.
