Abstract: This undergraduate work aims to analyze the importance of mandatory Choral Singing courses in the Music program at UFMS, focusing on their relevance to students' academic training. Although choral practice involves the development of vocal technique, auditory perception, and musical interpretation, many students do not reflect on how this practice influences their overall education. To address this question, this study sought to understand how the experiences and methodologies adopted in the course can impact students' academic development. The research was conducted through a qualitative case study, using questionnaires administered to students who had completed all four Choral Singing courses, as well as graduates of the music program. The results aim to highlight the importance of this practice for other students, provide a reflection on its role, and examine its impact on the development of musical and pedagogical skills, which are aspects outlined in the course syllabus. Thus, this study seeks to contribute to the discussion on music education and choral practice, emphasizing its role in artistic improvement and in preparing future music educators.

Abstract: This study examines the relationship between musical education and the inclusion of individuals with visual impairments, outlining historical, legal, pedagogical, and technological perspectives. It highlights the role of music as a cognitive, social, and cultural tool, while demonstrating how Assistive Technology, especially Braille music notation and digital resources, supports accessible musical learning. The research also discusses current challenges, such as the declining use of Braille due to the rise of mobile technologies, and emphasizes the need for teacher training and inclusive educational policies. Grounded in bibliographic analysis, the study contributes to understanding how music can strengthen autonomy, participation, and educational equity for visually impaired learners
