<title>MODULAÇÃO DA MICROBIOTA INTESTINAL POR INTERVENÇÕES NUTRICIONAIS NOS PRIMEIROS DOIS ANOS DE VIDA: UMA REVISÃO NARRATIVA</title>

<description>Título: MODULAÇÃO DA MICROBIOTA INTESTINAL POR INTERVENÇÕES NUTRICIONAIS NOS PRIMEIROS DOIS ANOS DE VIDA: UMA REVISÃO NARRATIVA
Abstract: The first two years of life are crucial for the formation of the intestinal microbiota, along with immunological, metabolic, and endocrine development. During this period, factors such as type of delivery, breastfeeding, antibiotic use, and dietary introduction modulate microbial colonization. This study aimed to analyze the main factors that influence the formation and modulation of infant intestinal microbiota, with a focus on nutritional interventions capable of promoting healthy intestinal development. Breast milk remains the main modulator, favoring the predominance of bifidobacteria and protection against pathogens. Advances in infant formulas, with the inclusion of prebiotics, probiotics, and oligosaccharides, have shown potential to bring the microbiota of non-breastfed infants closer to that of breastfed children, promoting greater bacterial diversity, strengthening the intestinal barrier, and reducing inflammation. These strategies, combined with adequate dietary introduction, represent promising resources for supporting intestinal health in the first years of life. However, gaps remain regarding the long-term efficacy and safety of these interventions, especially in different population contexts. The conclusion is that modulating the gut microbiota through nutritional strategies is a promising way to promote healthy growth and reduce the risk of future diseases, but requires new clinical evidence to support consistent recommendations.

<title>Efeitos do zinco nos transtornos de ansiedade: uma revisão integrativa</title>
    <link>https://repositorio.ufms.br/handle/123456789/13849</link>
<description>Título: Efeitos do zinco nos transtornos de ansiedade: uma revisão integrativa
Abstract: Anxiety disorders are a significant issue with considerable impact on individuals quality of life. Despite the knowledge on the importance of nutrition in psychopathologies, evidence supporting the association between minerals and anxiety remains limited. Thus, this integrative review aimed to analyze the available literature on zinc and anxiety in adults. A bibliographic search was conducted in PubMed and Scopus databases. 309 articles were initially identified, of which 7 met criteria for inclusion. The findings showed similar results: dietary patterns with recommended zinc intake are related to a lower risk of anxiety and its protective effect on cognition and mental health disorders. Although the study designs reviewed do not allow for causal inference, the observed outcomes, jointly with the physiological mechanisms of the mineral, suggest its role in the pathophysiology of anxiety disorders and highlight the need for further research.

<description>Título: LISTA DE SUBSTITUIÇÃO DE ALIMENTOS COM VALORIZAÇÃO DA CULTURA ALIMENTAR REGIONAL E INDICAÇÃO VISUAL DO GRAU DE PROCESSAMENTO
Abstract: Objectives: To analyze the Food Exchange List (FEL) used in a nutrition service and propose its update by adapting it to the social and cultural reality of the population served at a teaching clinic, with a focus on promoting food autonomy and strengthening food and nutrition education. Methods: This cross-sectional, descriptive study was based on document analysis of the current FEL, 24-hour dietary recalls and meal plans prescribed between March 2022 and July 2024. Results: The FEL in use showed several limitations including the absence of regional foods, inappropriate portion sizes and the inclusion of ultra-processed items. The 24-hour recalls revealed commonly consumed foods such as white rice, coffee, carioca beans, tomatoes and chicken, as well as regional preparations such as chipa, guavira and sobá. The prescribed meal plans frequently included white rice, carioca beans, tomatoes, bananas and carrots, in addition to typical preparations such as cassava, tilapia, grilled skewers and homemade burgers. The updated FEL incorporated regional foods, revised portions based on scientific literature, excluded part of the ultra-processed items and added visual alerts to those that remained. Conclusion: The modifications made the tool more representative of the local food culture and more aligned with current healthy eating recommendations, reinforcing the role of the FEL as a support instrument for clinical practice and for food and nutrition education.
