    <title>A Sociologia da Infância na Contemporaneidade: teoria, prática, linguagens entre outros diálogos possíveis</title>
    <link>https://repositorio.ufms.br/handle/123456789/14630</link>
    <description>Título: A Sociologia da Infância na Contemporaneidade: teoria, prática, linguagens entre outros diálogos possíveis
Abstract: This work: “The sociology of childhood in contemporary times: theory, practice, languages among other possible dialogues” brings together texts with a theoretical approach, which raise a historical and cultural perspective, that is, the presence of children in sociological study, as well as the place of childhood in this area of research, which illustrates different thoughts and approaches, with regard to understanding the socialization process and ways of considering children and their childhood(s). In contemporary times, new concepts and actions have been the subject of dialogue in which children are valued in their contexts, as well as the inseparability of theory and practice to think about the place that 'childhood' has been occupying in society. The Sociology of Childhood, an emerging field of knowledge, recognizes the child as a subject of law, a social actor and childhood as a historical construction, thus contributing to a new perspective on childhood and children. Given this, the Sociology of Childhood will be the subject of our dialogues to think about childhood and children, understanding them in their relational and collective aspects. This theoretical approach allows us to build knowledge about and with children, respecting their otherness, their rights, their place in history as producers of knowledge about their lives.

    <title>Celebridades da música pop nas crônicas de Moacyr Scliar</title>
    <link>https://repositorio.ufms.br/handle/123456789/14586</link>
    <description>Título: Celebridades da música pop nas crônicas de Moacyr Scliar
Abstract: This work offers a unique and fascinating exploration of a little-explored aspect of the work of renowned writer Moacyr Scliar: his chronicles that focus on icons of international pop music. The authors lead the reader through a perceptive analysis, demonstrating how Scliar, with his keen eye as a physician and humanist, used figures such as Madonna, Michael Jackson, Lenny Kravitz, Bob Dylan, and John Lennon as lenses to examine profound issues of the human condition and contemporary society. More than mere mentions, these celebrities become mirrors for discussions on female empowerment, racism, cultural identity, the abysses of fame, and the complex relationships between art, media, and power. Structured in chapters dedicated to each artist, the book reveals the surprising contemporaneity of the chronicler, who transformed commentary on mass culture into a dense and critical literary reflection. The work not only fills a significant gap in Scliar studies but also highlights the fertile dialogue between classical literature and pop culture, confirming the relevance of his writing for understanding the paradoxes of our time. Essential reading for admirers of Moacyr Scliar, literature scholars, and anyone interested in the intersection of pop culture, social criticism, and the art of Brazilian chronicles.

    <title>Arquitetura Urgente</title>
    <link>https://repositorio.ufms.br/handle/123456789/14395</link>
    <description>Título: Arquitetura Urgente
Abstract: The objective of the book is to present relevant topics, particularly those related to architectural design and its tools for transforming the built environment. It will serve as a day-to-day classroom tool, aiming to contribute to the continuous development of architecture, which will not be achieved by us, but by our students and their students. The book is divided into four chapters, organized into lecture notes: the first chapter addresses Graphic and Plastic Representation. The second chapter covers the history of architecture, encompassing historical movements, cultural influences, contemporary trends, and the preservation of cultural and architectural heritage.&#xD;
The third chapter is dedicated to architectural design, including Morphology, scales of action, and the issue of architecture related to climate change. Finally, the fourth chapter discusses technological aspects and the creative process from conception to execution, project support, environmental comfort and sustainability, and new structures already in use in Brazil and around the world. In addition to technical and regulatory issues, such as construction materials, sustainability, and energy efficiency, which are fundamental aspects for undergraduate courses in architecture and urbanism.&#xD;
Each chapter will be structured into individual lessons, which can be used independently, offering a balance between theory and practice, aiming to equip students with critical and creative thinking skills essential for professional practice in the field of architecture.&#xD;
Lastly, this book proposal represents the natural continuation of "Notas de Aula: Urbanismo," published by UFMS Press in 2020, and invites the reader on a more in-depth journey, now focused on Architecture. Both works are part of an editorial project aimed at promoting research and debate on topics relevant to society.
