    <title>UM ESTUDO SOBRE AS FORMAS DE SILENCIAMENTO DA MULHER NA SOCIEDADE CORUMBAENSE: medo, loucura e violência.</title>

    <description>Título: UM ESTUDO SOBRE AS FORMAS DE SILENCIAMENTO DA MULHER NA SOCIEDADE CORUMBAENSE: medo, loucura e violência.
Abstract: This study analyzes the subjugation of women through the stereotype of madness and investigates how fear, as an instrument of social and political control, has historically fueled the discourse of female hysteria, transforming dissident bodies and behaviors into objects of pathologization and exclusion. The research was conducted based on a literature review and content analysis of a 1911 Criminal Case from the municipality of Corumbá, then part of Matto Grosso, which reports a case of violence against a woman that ultimately results in the defendant’s acquittal. Through this case, we can understand discourses involving gender relations, such as victim-blaming and the demand for a sanity examination to validate the woman’s testimony. It also reveals elements of a patriarchal society aimed at maintaining male domination. This study emerges as a tool to illustrate that gender-based violence is a social construction supported by mechanisms of power that have been historically naturalized and consolidated. The theoretical framework draws on Silvia Federici (2017), Gerda Lerner (2019), Michel Foucault (2019), Ana Maria Colling (2019), among others.

    <title>Quem era às mulheres que iam para a Fogueira? Uma análise dos Contos da Bela Adormecida</title>

    <description>Título: Quem era às mulheres que iam para a Fogueira? Uma análise dos Contos da Bela Adormecida
Abstract: This research analyzes the witch hunts carried out in Europe from the 16th to the 19th centuries and how the representation of witches was constructed in Giambattista Basile's Tales of Sleeping Beauty (1634), Charles Perrault's Tales of Sleeping Beauty (1697), and the Brothers Grimm's Tales of Sleeping Beauty (1812). It is known that the persecution of women in the Modern Age was harsh, and the State and the Church, with their bureaucratic apparatuses, organized this persecution. It was also necessary to understand how the representation of "sinful Eve" and the use of the Manual Malleus Maleficarum directly affected the image of midwives and healers. Cultural history was used to analyze the representations of "witches" used in fairy tales and the persecution of women by the Inquisition. To understand the historical context of the Modern Era, we used the bibliography of Modern History, and Content Analysis was applied to understand the Sleeping Beauty tales and their influence on the imagery of the witch and femininity created within cultural and capitalist molds. The tales influenced the spread of misogyny over the centuries and the reputations of thousands of women.&#xD;

    <title>AS RELAÇÕES COMERCIAIS E A IMPORTÂNCIA DO NAVIO FERNANDES VIEIRA EM CORUMBA, MS, NO SÉCULO XX</title>
    <link>https://repositorio.ufms.br/handle/123456789/10599</link>
    <description>Título: AS RELAÇÕES COMERCIAIS E A IMPORTÂNCIA DO NAVIO FERNANDES VIEIRA EM CORUMBA, MS, NO SÉCULO XX
Abstract: This thesis investigates the commercial relationships between small rural producers and large freight carriers in Corumbá, Mato Grosso do Sul, during the 20th century, focusing on the significance of the vessel Fernandes Vieira. The study analyzes how navigation on the Paraguay River was essential for transporting local agricultural production and supplying the region, offering an alternative means of transport for small producers and connecting riverside communities to the urban market and neighboring countries. However, it observes that this relationship was marked by a dynamic of economic dependency, in which the freight carriers-controlled transportation costs and conditions, placing the producers in a vulnerable position. The analysis also aims to highlight the role of the Fernandes Vieira vessel not only as a means of transport but as a cultural and social link among different peoples and traditions along the river. The study explores the impact of this vessel on the city’s socioeconomic structure, from the period when river navigation predominated to the transition toward new land transportation technologies.
