Abstract: TQM is understood as a management philosophy that guides companies toward achieving their performance objectives, in accordance with the organization's strategy and the needs of its stakeholders. Thus, this study aims to propose a plan for implementing Total Quality Management (TQM) for an earthmoving company, which was guided by the use of the 5W2H tool and by an analysis of the company's organizational maturity. The specific objectives of this study include identifying the advantages and difficulties of implementing TQM, assessing the company's maturity level, and proposing improvements aimed at satisfying the needs of stakeholders. The research is characterized as a case study and was conducted through the application of a structured questionnaire and on-site observations, complemented by informal conversations with the manager. The results indicated that the organization is in stage 1 of maturity, characterized by poorly systematized processes and predominantly reactive actions. The main weakness identified was internal communication, which hinders the development and execution of strategic action plans. However, it was found that the adoption of TQM can generate significant benefits, such as increased operational efficiency, improved service quality and reliability, and strengthened relationships with customers and employees.

Abstract: Noise is a recurring physical agent in industrial environments and is linked to hearing loss,
physiological changes, and reduced performance. This study aimed to analyze, through a
literature review, how noise has been addressed in productive environments and what control strategies have been proposed within the context of operations management. The adopted methodology was a qualitative bibliographic review, based on 58 technical-scientific articles published between 2015 and 2025, obtained from databases such as SciELO, CAPES, Engineering Village, BDTD, among others. The analysis was structured around four categories: noise as a physical risk, effects of Noise-Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL), diagnostic and monitoring methods, and the integration of strategies with management systems. The results show that noise control still relies mainly on the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), with limited implementation of engineering solutions and weak connection to ergonomics, layout, or maintenance routines. In most cases, sound data—when collected—do not influence operational decisions. The study concludes that noise can be treated as a technical variable, acting as a signal of failure and as a decision-making indicator for safety, work organization, and system performance.

Abstract: This article aims to apply the Systematic Layout Planning (SLP) methodology in the development of a project to improve the physical arrangement of a printing company, located in the municipality of Ilha Solteira/SP, focusing on the efficiency of the manufacturing process of letters in Aluminum Composite Material (ACM). Guided by the research question "How can the application of the SLP methodology impact the operational efficiency in a printing company?", the study consists of the analysis and restructuring of the company's layout, using the tools of the SLP method to promote the improvement of the productive flow, maximization of the use of physical space and the increase of operational safety. The research was carried out through a case study with an applied nature and a qualitative approach to the results obtained. The proposal resulted in the elaboration of a new physical arrangement, based on the resizing of spaces and adjustment of sector areas according to ergonomic and occupational safety criteria. As main results, the expansion of approximately 51% of the safety area in the production center, a 50% reduction in the operator's and raw material's movement flow, a 50% reduction in displacement per shift and better use of the available space stand out. It is concluded that the application of SLP contributed significantly to the reduction of transport waste, compliance with regulatory standards and improvement in the movement of people and products in the studied company.

Abstract: The pulp industry is characterized by significant water consumption, particularly in slurry pump sealing systems, where post-use water disposal generates environmental repercussions. In this context, this article studies the technical and environmental feasibility of reducing the use of clean water for sealing in a pulp mill in Brazil, in accordance with the guidelines of the ISO 14001 standard. The research employed a case study that utilized quality tools (PDCA cycle, Ishikawa Diagram, and 5 Whys) to analyze water consumption, combined with the application of circular economy concepts and principles to optimize resource management. The main result is the reuse of condensate from the drying process, which proved technically feasible, leading to a significant reduction in both the demand for fresh water and the volume of effluent discharged. In short, the study demonstrates that the adoption of sustainable practices can provide an operational reduction of up to 18.9% in clean water consumption, as well as substantial economic and environmental gains, while consolidating the values of the company studied.
