Título: Direitos humanos e saúde digital: Proteção de dados de saúde no Brasil.
Abstract: The rapid digital transformation has had significant impacts on the healthcare sector, requiring reflection on the benefits and risks of using technologies that directly handle sensitive population data. In this context, understanding the relationship between human rights, the fundamental right to health, and privacy protection is essential, especially given the growing use of electronic health records, telemedicine, mobile applications, and artificial intelligence. The objective of this work is to analyze how digital health can contribute to the realization of the right to health in Brazil, while also discussing the challenges related to personal data protection, with an emphasis on the application of the General Data Protection Law (LGPD – Law No. 13,709/2018) and complementary legislation, such as the Access to Information Law and the Brazilian Civil Rights Framework for the Internet. This study was developed using a qualitative approach, characterized as exploratory-descriptive bibliographic research. The data collection process included systematic consultation of primary sources, such as the General Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 13,709/2018) and the Access to Information Law (Law No. 12,527/2011); and international legislation, notably the European Union's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the US Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), as well as secondary sources (specialized legal doctrine, scientific articles, and official documents from international organizations such as the WHO). The results showed that digitalization in healthcare has brought significant gains in management and access to services, but also revealed risks of digital exclusion, interoperability failures, and vulnerabilities that can compromise patient privacy. It is concluded that digital health can only consolidate itself as an instrument for strengthening the right to health if it is associated with inclusive public policies, digital ethics practices, and robust information security systems, ensuring a balance between technological innovation and the protection of fundamental rights.

Abstract: This article aims to analyze the influence of the media on the institution of the Jury Court, as
well as its historical aspects, guiding principles and organization. Based on constitutional
principles, such as the presumption of innocence and the right to a broad defense, it seeks to
highlight possible traces of subjectivity in decision-making, which can be potentially
intensified by the media, as it influences public opinion formation and creates a distorted view
of the legal system. In light of this objective, case law from Higher Courts and real cases of
significant repercussions were researched and analyzed. Thus, to conduct the study, a
deductive method was employed through bibliographic and scientific materials.

Título: A EVOLUÇÃO DA PRISÃO PREVENTIVA NO ORDENAMENTO JURÍDICO BRASILEIRO: DO MODELO AUTORITÁRIO AO GARANTISMO PROCESSUAL
Abstract: This study investigates the evolution of pretrial detention (prisão preventiva) in Brazilian law, highlighting the transition from an authoritarian system, characterized by broad judicial discretion, to a rights-based system founded on the principles of the 1988 Federal Constitution. The investigation employs a bibliographic and documentary approach, utilizing doctrines, legislation, and judicial decisions, and applies the deductive method to analyze the consequences of criminal procedural reforms, particularly Laws No. 12,403/2011 and 13,964/2019. The central argument dismantles the thesis that legal changes have been merely superficial, asserting that these reforms, by introducing precautionary measures other than imprisonment, requiring contemporaneity, and mandating the periodic review of pretrial detention, represent significant advances in safeguarding fundamental rights within criminal proceedings. From this perspective, the origins of pretrial detention, the relevant legislative changes, and the current judicial interpretation are analyzed. The conclusion is that, while the system is moving towards a more guarantee-based model, cultural and operational barriers still persist in the practical application of Brazil's criminal justice system.

Título: O SUPERENCARCERAMENTO COMO CONSEQUÊNCIA DA APLICAÇÃO DE FORMA INDISCRIMINADA DAS PRISÕES CAUTELARES NO BRASIL
Abstract: The Brazilian criminal justice system is immersed in a context of overincarceration, in which
pretrial detention, although constitutionally provided for as an exceptional measure, has been
applied in a mitigated and, not infrequently, abusive manner. The lack of a legal time limit for its
duration, combined with the recurrent use of generic grounds in judicial decisions, renders this
measure a true anticipation of punishment, thereby violating constitutional guarantees such as the
presumption of innocence, the reasonable duration of proceedings, and human dignity. This paper
aims to critically analyze how such practices contribute to the maintenance of mass incarceration,
highlighting the role of punitive culture in the social and institutional legitimization of this
scenario. The methodology adopted consists of a bibliographic review of national and foreign
authors, an analysis of decisions handed down by the Federal Supreme Court and the Superior
Court of Justice, as well as a survey of official statistical data made available by the National
Council of Justice (CNJ) and the National Penitentiary Department (DEPEN). It is concluded that
the trivialization of preventive detention, to the detriment of the application of alternative
measures, reinforces the selectivity of the criminal justice system and perpetuates an ineffective
repressive model. It is therefore urgent to implement time limits, require individualized
justification, and adopt public policies aimed at reducing incarceration.
